Graduate Assistant with the Athletics Equipment program working 20 hours per week/300 hours per semester

 
Pay Rate:

$8.34 per hour

Responsibilities:

Serve as an assistant to the Athletic Equipment Manager.

Assist Athletic Equipment Manager with daily equipment room duties including, but not limited to, the following:
– Prepare and issue team gear and apparel for players, coaches, and support staff.
– Assist with daily laundry services for student-athletes and staff.
– Assist with on-site equipment needs during select practices and competitions.
– Assist with locker room set-ups for all home games.
– Assist in travel preparation for all athletic teams.
– Assist on selected sports game days with possibility of some travel.
– Assist with performing maintenance on and cleaning of protective equipment.
– Assist with management of student-worker staff.
– Provide excellent customer service to athletic department staff and student-athletes

Detailed job responsibilities for the Athletic Equipment Graduate Assistantship will be outlined further during the interview process.

Required Qualifications: 

Admission to East Stroudsburg University. Graduate school application may occur at the same time as applying for the position.

A Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Minimum 3.0 GPA

Criminal background check.

Time commitment which potentially includes nights, weekends, holidays, and travel.

Computer competency

Driver’s license

Excellent communication skills  

Lift and/or move up to 45lbs

Preferred Qualifications: 

General knowledge of athletic equipment 

Professional interest in pursuing a career in intercollegiate athletics.

Ability to take initiative and ownership of equipment related team needs
