Known as “The Birthplace of College Football, Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory.
Posting SummaryRutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Assistant Director of Football Equipment Operations for Rutgers Football. The Assistant Director of Football Equipment Operations performs a variety of day-to-day responsibilities in support of the Football Program. The position reports to the Head Football Coach and Director of Football Operations and is assigned by the Head Football Coach to perform duties within the football program’s equipment operations department.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:Assists with Team practice set-up and equipment operations.Assists with Team travel coordination.Assists with Gameday setup and equipment operations.Assists with Special event planning and equipment operations.Assists with Bowl Game planning and equipment operations.Assists with business office interactions.All administrative functions assigned by the head coach.

COVID-19 Immunization RequirementUnder Policy 60.1.35, Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are fully vaccinated and have received a booster (where eligible) against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Prospective employees who are not eligible for a booster at the time of an offer of employment must provide proof they have received a booster within two weeks (14 calendar days) of eligibility. Based on current guidance, individuals are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 two weeks after receiving the final dose of any COVID-19 vaccine authorized or approved for use in the United States by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Eligibility for a booster against COVID-19 varies and is explained on the University’s web site located at Failure to provide proof of primary vaccination and booster will result in rescission of a prospective employee’s offer of employment and/or disciplinary action up to and including termination.

Minimum Education and ExperienceBachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.Approximately three years of administrative experience.
Certifications/LicensesUse of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands; a valid driver’s license would be required for this position.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesMust possess strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, follow up and follow through.Must be detail oriented and possess excellent oral and written communicational skills.High level of confidentiality a must.Knowledge of the Big Ten Football Conference and NCAA rules and regulations, particularly in regard to recruiting.Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Work, Outlook, Access & Internet Explorer.

Equipment UtilizedMicrosoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Access, Internet browsers, and use of athletic vehicles (vans, etc.).
Physical Demands and Work Environment
