Hello Everyone:
It was good to see everyone at convention. To those that did not make it,we missed you.
We had a good time. We learned a lot and shared stories. It was great to see old friends. CONGRATS to Troy Jepsen from Drake University for winning the Glenn Sharp Equipment Manager of the year. Things that happened at convention this year : We had the three candidates for President answers questions to the group. The candidates are Mel Resendiz from Northwestern University; Cliff Perry from Princeton; and Will Rodecap from Kansas State University. Lifetime Achievement Awards were given to John Brick, UNX, for his long dedication to the AEMA as a vendor, and posthumously, to David "Sarge" Tinga from Wake Forest University, for his dedication to the profession and especially towards his student managers.
526 members attended this year's Convention. We had 92 members sit for the Certification Exam.There were 65 people that past the test in Atlanta. We had about thirty members from our district attend the Convention. Thanks for coming.

On the District front. Thank you for re-electing me as your District Director. Justin Shaw was re-elected District Treasurer and Victor Ignatiev is still are CEU Rep. I would like to welcome William Grant from Texas State University, Brett Bippert from UTSA, Clark Hamman from Baylor, Trevor Cook from TCU, Michael Harrington, and Kenneth Chavez Jr. from the Denver Broncos to the District VII Family. When you see William, Brett, Clark, Trevor , Michael, and Kenneth please give him a District VII welcome. I want to CONGRATULATE SIX OF OUR DISTRICT MEMBERS FOR PASSING THE EXAM IN ATLANTA. They are: Len Magby from Oklahoma State University; Quinlan Patterson from Trinity University; Collin Prentiss from Texas Tech University; Adam Whitworth from the University of Oklahoma ; Connor Kresin and Spencer Starrett from the United States Air Force Academy.
