Known as “The Birthplace of College Football, Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory. |
Posting Summary | Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Equipment Assistant for Rutgers Football. Duties include but are not limited to; laundry, ability to lift heavy objects ; supervising student-workers; ability to effectively communicate with coaches, administrators and student-athletes. Among the key duties of this position are the following:Receive, store, repair, recondition, clean, issue, collect and inventory all athletic clothing & gear for the University Football team.This position is responsible for the time keeping of daily practices for the Head Football Coach. This responsibility is of the utmost importance to ensure the football team is compliant with NCAA rules of allotted practice time.Operation of the department vehicle for delivery and pick up of items needed for the football team. This also includes delivery of all receiving packages for all of the Athletic teams housed in the Hale Center.Game day setup, home and away, practice field duties and inventory control. As well as, additional duties assigned by the Equipment Manager and Assistant Equipment Manager. |

Minimum Education and Experience | Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.Requires up to two years relevant experience in an administrative function, good communication and interpersonal skills, and computer literacy. |
