Responsibilities

Responsible for all game day and practice operations to include locker room and other facilities. Organize at-home and on-the-road transportation and inventory of all necessary game equipment. Handles all laundry for the team, including uniforms. Coordinate arrangements for visiting teams regarding use of the locker rooms, and accommodations to include food and laundry. Responsible for knowledge and interpretation of all NCAA safety/compliance rules pertaining to equipment and issuing of equipment for all assigned sports.

Responsible for all Nike orders for a minimum of two assigned olympic sports. Handles all incoming shipments and manages all inventory with proper documentation. Responsible for the process of evaluating the condition of equipment and certifying that each item meets minimum safety standards governed by the national organization. Implements and maintains a program for tracking and supervising the repair and maintenance of all equipment. Monitor daily operations in the Equipment Rooms for all assigned sports. Able to lift large and heavy objects.

Supervises the activities of the Athletic Equipment and Locker Attendants, student managers, and student assistants to include scheduling hours, assigning work, and recommend personnel actions.

Ensures all necessary and required equipment are stored and attainable before and after every team travel. Responsible for completing proper documentation for equipment inventory related to travel. Other assigned duties.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: Post-high school education and/or experience may substitute at the comparable rate.)

Experience working at the collegiate level with practice and game-day preparation of setting up equipment and stations.

Ability to work a flexible schedule to include availability for early morning hours, evening hours, and weekends.

Knowledge of related NCAA policies and procedures.

Ability to meet the physical demands of this position to include lifting and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
