POSITION SUMMARY
The Equipment Manager opportunity is a key role within the department of Athletics. In collaboration
with their counterpart this role will oversee the care and distribution of equipment and general use of
the athletic facilities. Engaging with staff, faculty, and students this role is a major component of the
Grinnell College athletic experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and
possess the ability to independently and efficiently organize their workflow to maximize their productivity. Impacting the student experience in a multitude of ways, the Equipment Manager will lead
a team of student staff members to achieve the day-to-day tasks of the department.
Hours: 1:30pm-10pm Monday-Friday
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Launder, maintain, and issue athletic uniforms
• Maintain inventory systems
• Sanitize and repair athletic equipment
• Prepare equipment and uniforms for travel for off campus athletic events
• Distribute athletic equipment and supplies to faculty, staff, and students
• Respond to on call athletic and facility needs of coaches, athletes, staff, and faculty
REQUIREMENTS
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• The ability to communicate effectively utilizing various modes of communication
• Champions diversity, equity, and inclusion
• Ability to utilize interpersonal skills to collaborate across all levels of campus constituency
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and efficiently manage their workload
• Proficient skill level within the Microsoft Office suite and other basic computer skills
