Florida Atlantic University is looking for a highly motivated and passionate individual for an opening within or Olympic sports equipment room. This position will work with all 17 other sports that FAU provides for its student athletes outside of football. The responsibilities of the position are listed below.
- Manage day-to-day equipment room operations and team services including, but not limited to industrial laundry and sanitation systems, equipment inventory control, forecasting of equipment needs, the procurement, processing and allocation of equipment and apparel, branding and decoration of all apparel per athletic department specifications and the proper fitting & safety instructions of protective equipment.
- Perform end of season equipment inventory, maintenance, and proper storage.
- Interviews, hires, trains, and supervises student staff. Delegates, oversees and manages workflow and assignments. Responsible for evaluating, setting goals and identifying area of improvements. Schedule, approve, and monitor staff hours to ensure operational efficiency, compliance, and proper team coverage according to sports seasons.
- Maintain an organized, clean, & safe environment always.
Required to work additional time, including weekend and holiday hours, as needed for practices and regular and post-season games.
