Football Equipment Post Graduate Intern–Kansas State University

About This Role:
K-State Athletics is seeking qualified applicants for a Football Equipment Post Graduate Intern, which is a temporary, full-time, benefits-eligible position for up to 12 months.
An example of job duties includes but are not limited to:
• Assist the Head Football Equipment Manager with the K-State Football team’s day-to-day operations
• Coordinate setup of equipment and supplies for practices and competition
• Transportation of athletic equipment and supplies
• Assist with the student equipment managers program
• Ensure adherence to policies and procedures regarding the distribution of equipment, to include fitting and issuance of equipment
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends as required

What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree by hire date
• Two years undergraduate experience as a student manager at a collegiate institution
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations as it pertains to athletic apparel and equipment
• Working knowledge of equipment operations
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Big 12 rules and regulations as it pertains to athletic apparel and equipment
• Experience supervising employees
• Knowledge of laundry chemicals and proper use
• Working knowledge of Equipment Ops, Sports Soft, Frontrush or other type of equipment database
Other Requirements:
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment

K-State Athletics Employee Benefits Information:
Salary Rate / Pay Rate:
 $10 per hour (approximately $20,800 yearly estimate plus paid overtime) in the first year; potential to earn $12.50 (approximately $26,000 yearly estimate plus paid overtime) after completion of first year with a successful review and budget approval. Paid biweekly (26 pay periods).
