Graduate Assistant for Equipment Operations–Austin Peay State University

The Graduate Assistant for Equipment Operations will assist in the issuance, maintenance, and upkeep of the equipment and apparel for the football program. This person will assist in supervising, coordinating, and participating in all activities related to purchasing, storing, issuing, fitting, and repairing athletic equipment, clothing and uniforms for intercollegiate athletics.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities Include Supervise all student managers and student assistants to include planning and delivering work assignments, planning and coordinating work schedules, and training and development of staff.
– Coordinate activities related to the laundering, storage and issuance of athletic clothing, uniforms and equipment to student-athletes, student manager, coaches and staff; help ensure the availability of uniforms and equipment for all 16 varsity sport teams.
– Coordinate the maintenance and repair of athletic equipment, uniforms and facilities; inspect equipment for defects; work with the athletic training department to ensure proper fitting and adjusting of protective equipment for student-athletes. Decide if equipment should be repaired or replaced. Perform periodic inventories including leading with the department wide annual inventory.
