This position reports directly to the Director of Equipment for the Athletics Department and will be responsible for oversight of all equipment operations for Vanderbilt’s football program, as well as supervision and maintenance of football’s laundry center and equipment room.

Vanderbilt University’s Athletics Department prepares student-athletes to become leaders and champions in life by placing the highest values on integrity, character, sportsmanship and victory. Vanderbilt is a charter member of the Southeastern Conference and is the conference’s only private school. The university fields 16 varsity teams (6 men’s teams and 10 women’s teams, a total of 351 student athletes), 14 of which compete in the Southeastern Conference.
Duties and Responsibilities
*Oversee all daily equipment needs directly related to football staff, players, and schedule
*Plan, direct, and execute football practice from an equipment standpoint
*Develop schedules to ensure coverage of all football events including lift sessions, practices, optional workouts, recruiting, and summer camps
*Distribute and organize all apparel for football
*Administer the fitting, cleaning, and tracking of helmets and other safety equipment
*Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all football spaces including equipment room, locker room, practice fields and storage areas
*Prepare the football program for gameday pertaining to all aspects of equipment for student-athletes, coaches, and staff
*Required travel for all football related events including away games and bowl games
*Other duties as assigned by the Director of Equipment and Head Football Coach
*A Bachelor’s degree is necessary.
*AEMA certification or the ability to acquire certification within a year required.
*Prior experience with a Division I or professional sports equipment room is necessary.
*High level of organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities is necessary.
*Ability to work nights and weekends as events require is necessary.
*Knowledge of NCAA and SEC rules and regulations are preferred.
