Various evening and weekend hours required. Salary: $50,000.00 – $60,000.00, depending on qualifications and experience. FLSA Status: Non-exempt Position Summary: The Athletic Operations Manager has the responsibility for operations and event management for home athletic events, all away football contests and other away events as needed. Oversees event personnel assignments and maintains event staff at contests. Is responsible for all set up and technology related systems utilized in the daily operations of the Athletic Department. Will manage all athletic related facilities including equipment, upkeep and maintenance. Qualifications:College Degree in Sports Management or related field required.Prior experience with coaching and/or equipment management required.Excellent understanding of sport program logistics, NFHS/IHSA regulations and game management.Ability to work independently with good time management skills and the ability to problem solve and troubleshoot in real time.Strong organizational skills and effective oral and written communication skills.Ability to interact positively with student athletes, colleagues and the public as well as work as a team in a high paced environment.Competent computer skills– Microsoft Office, Google Suite, sideline equipment/tools, athletic equipment inventory software, scheduling software, live streaming, social media/PR, student management software etc.Ability to use tools and basic power tools to assemble and repair relevant equipment.Possess acceptable driving records that would allow one to drive students in school vehicles. Position Responsibilities:Supervises and supports the Athletic Facilitator in the distribution and collection of all athletic uniforms to student-athletes and team equipment and supplies to coaches.Manage the distribution, setup, breakdown of game day equipment for home events and other specific events as directed by the Athletic Director (scoreboards, sound system, game balls, streaming, signage etc…).Launder and inventory all athletic uniforms at conclusion of each season.Launder specific team uniforms during season.Maintenance of a computerized inventory of all uniforms and equipment.Submit records to Athletic Department of all student-athlete obligations for lost/damaged items.Receive all shipments of athletic equipment, verifies against original orders and submits packing slips to Athletic Director.Maintain organized and clean storage facilities for all equipment and supplies.Maintain equipment and make recommendations on new or replacement equipment as needed, and during the annual budget process.Assist in the supervision the officials and visiting team locker room areas during home football, wrestling, volleyball and basketball games and for other events as assigned by the Athletic Director.Attend all home and away football games. Transport equipment and set up sideline. Be available before, during and immediately following the contest.Supervise event staff, officials and contest venues.Stadium Neighborhood Advisory Committee LiaisonCoordinate facility needs with buildings and grounds and do weekly walk throughs on all athletic areas to assure safe playing environments, upkeep and maintenance.Any duties as assigned by supervisor. Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, lifting and carrying heavy equipment, reaching, squatting, climbing stairs, kneeling and moving equipment/boxes. Some work may occur outdoors, in inclement weather or in loud/crowded event areas.
