Athletic Equipment and Facilities Worker (Assistant: men’s and women’s lacrosse, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s gymnastics, men’s and women’s fencing, and field hockey)
Details:
Penn State is searching for a full time Athletic Equipment and Facilities Worker – Grade 7 to join the team.
Responsibilities include:
•Collaborate closely with the Director of Olympic Sports Equipment to ensure daily operational and equipment needs are met.
• Receive and check new equipment against equipment orders in the department inventory control system.
•Keep and maintain accurate inventories.
•Directing the work of the student managers to ensure that the needs are meet.
•Explain and interpret various policies and regulations regarding the use of the building.
•Oversee the equipment room as it pertains to the laundry area, shipping and receiving areas, and main storage areas.
•Wash and dry clothing and towels; deliver athletic equipment as required.
•Have equipment available at specific times.
•Know class schedules, team practice times and special events.
•Responsible for equipment during the game and returning same after the game. Set up sidelines.
•Assist in coordinating equipment travel logistics, and locker room setups for home, road and post-season competitions.
•Pack required equipment for various athletic teams when they are traveling.
•See that equipment is put on bus or traveling vehicle; unpack, sort, and check equipment upon return to campus; wash and dry clean equipment; report damage or shortages.
•Drive trucks to deliver equipment and supplies to athletic events or other athletic buildings on campus.
•Assist in fitting and making repairs to equipment.
•Perform other duties related or similar to the type described above.
QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE:
•9 to 12 months of effective experience
•Able to work various various schedule
