Equipment Manager—Butler University

Butler University Athletics is seeking a part-time equipment manager that will primarily work with football.  The role is limited to 29 hours per week.  Butler is in Indianapolis, IN.  Butler Football participates in the Pioneer Football League (FCS). 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist with laundry operations for football and other sports
  • Assist Coaches during football practice
  • Fitting, maintenance and repair of football apparel and equipment
  • Responsible for travel with football to away competitions
  • Supervise student managers
  • Assist with ordering and issuing of Nike branded gear
  • Assist with football equipment budget
  • Occasionally assist with Olympic Sports Equipment operations when requested

Qualifications

  • Prior work experience as a student manager
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects
  • Ability to handle information in a confidential, objective and professional manner
  • Ability to lift 25lbs
