FOOTBALL EQUIPMENT INTERNSHIP—COASTAL CAROLINA

Coastal Carolina Football is in search of 2-3 Equipment interns to work and learn in the football equipment room. This internship will take place from January 2025 through December of 2025.

Currently this is a voluntary position however the experience and responsibility gained through this internship will be able to help you obtain a job as an equipment manager.

During this internship your role will be to learn and practice how to respond, act, and make decisions as an equipment manager. The goal is after the internship that you will be able to take what you have learned from helping us and use that experience and knowledge to get a full time position in the industry. You will work beside head equipment manager Will Matzke every day. you will be able to observe what goes into ordering, overseeing a budget, working with vendors, managing students, preparing for a season, coachcomm, managing practice, and much more.

Qualifications-

  • Preferred prior equipment room experience
  • Goal is to become a full time equipment manager
  • Eager to learn as much as possible
  • Ability to oversee and mentor students

 

Job Duties-

  • Assist in the day to day activities of Coastal Carolina football
  • Assist head football coach Tim Beck at practices.
  • Help oversee a team of 15-20 student managers
  • Assist in ordering, budgeting, and inventory
  • Supervise student managers laundry schedule
  • Assist players in everyday equipment room needs
  • Assist coached and staff in any day to day needs
  • Learn about and work with local vendors
  • Help prep for all home and road games
  • Learn to use and operate CoachComm

We have had a lot of success from interns that have previously been in this internship and the ability for them to find jobs after completing the internship. It is extremely important to us that you are ready to look for and find a job after completion of the internship.
