The Head Football Equipment Manager reports to the Head Coach and is responsible for all aspects of apparel and equipment needs for football. This position will work and collaborate with the Head Coach and DFO to provide health, safety, and well-being of our student athletes and event management. This position will directly cover all football apparel and equipment, the football locker room, football related employees, football student managers, and deliveries. This will be a GA position. Compensation will be tuition, housing and $8000 stipend for 10 months.
Willingness and ability to work a non-traditional schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
Qualifications
Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study at an
accredited college or university leading to a bachelor’s or higher
Degree.
Must be able to get into graduate school. Minimum of 2.5 GPA
Minimum 2 years’ experience working in an Intercollegiate
Athletics equipment room.
Knowledge and prior experience with industrial washing and
drying machines as well as proper techniques to remove stains
from garments, apparel and uniforms.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
Prior knowledge of Inventory Tracking programs.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Effectively performs duties and responsibilities; displays attention
to detail; supports organizational policies; anticipates
demands/pressures of assignments and adjusts accordingly.
Ability to work independently; complete goals, tasks, and
projects on time.
Ability to think critically to find creative solutions to whatever
challenge may be presented.
Valid driver’s license
A thorough working knowledge of issuing, fitting, cleaning, and
maintaining athletic equipment as put forward by the AEMA
preferred.
Ability to work cooperatively with others and effectively interact
with diverse populations.
