Grad Assistant – University of Northern Colorado

The University of Northern Colorado is looking for a Graduate Assistant Equipment Manager for the 20205-2026 academic year.  The ideal start date would be on or before August 1, 2025, but this is flexible if need be. This is a 10 month position and covers up to 10 credit hours of in-state tuition, or WUE states per semester.  If the Grad Assistant does not have in-state residence,  or is not from a WUE State (Hawaii, California, Oregon, Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Wyoming, North Dakota, and South Dakota), then the difference in tuition must be covered by the Grad Assistant.  There is also a stipend of $12,913, which is paid out in equal amounts through out the 10 month period.

The primary responsibilities will be to assist the Full Time staff with Football during the Football Season, and then transitioning into helping with the Olympic Sports. The goal is for the Graduate Assistant to leave here with an understanding of all phases in the Equipment Operations of a Division I athletics, and to prepare them for a career in the Athletic Equipment Field.

The University of Northern Colorado is a Division 1 program, and a primary member of the Big Sky Conference.  We compete in 17 NCAA sports, in which the equipment room plays a role in each.  We are located in Greeley, Colorado.  Which is less than hour North of Denver, and only 45 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park, and all the outdoor activities Colorado has to offer.
