Essential Job Duties | This position serves as equipment manager for assigned sports. Daily contact with Head Coaches, coaching staff, student athletes, trainers, Athletic Administration, alumni, vendors and NCAA and ACC officials. Advises coaching staff, student athletes and trainers of equipment and services available.Duties include but are not limited to:Researches and makes recommendations and/or decisions regarding purchases, equipment repairs and transportation of equipment while adhering to budget and purchasing guidelines.Works with vendors and internal clients to resolve any issues regarding equipment. Orders equipment in a timely schedule to ensure that all equipment is ready for use for practice and competition.Responsible for logistics and transportation of equipment and supplies to all regular and post-season games.Adheres to all NCAA and ACC and institutional governing policies and procedures.Maintains appropriate documentation on all bids, approvals and other correspondence relating to purchasing inventory.Utilizes knowledge about the contract benefits that the University is supposed to receive during the course of the year.Develops and enforces inventory controls and procedures. |
Other Responsibilities | Required to work overtime as needed for practices and regular and post-season games. Position requires weekend and holiday hours.Other duties as assigned. |
