Football Equipment Intern—Louisiana Tech University

Louisiana Tech Athletics is seeking applications for Football Equipment Intern. This internship will work as part of the Athletic Department’s football operations and will be charged with the following duties and responsibilities:

•Assist with distributing, collecting, repairing, storing and maintaining all football related equipment.

•Assist with supervising, recruiting, and training of all football student managers.

•Oversee practice and gameday field setup.

•Maintain the cleanliness and quality of all workout, practice, and game clothes of the student athletes.

•Assist with the packing of trunks and equipment truck for away games.

•Oversee the setup of recruiting photoshoots.

•Assist with the proper fitting of helmets, shoulder pads, and apparel for student athletes.

•Responsible for setup of Coach Comm at practices and games.

•Potential to help with baseball umpires during home games.

•Other duties as assigned with athletic administration.

Qualifications & Requirements:

•Bachelor’s degree required.

•Preferably two years or more of experience as an equipment student manager.

•A strong working knowledge of athletics equipment.

•Good organization, leadership, and communication skills are expected.

•Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary. •Proficient in Microsoft office.
