The Beaver Dam High School football program has received a grant from the Beaver Dam Community Hospital Foundation, Inc to purchase 60 Guardian caps to help improve safety for the program.

The Guardian cap deflects impact force from contact and studies show it reduces concussion forces and head injuries for players. The NFL uses them and has mandated that they can be worn in games for the 2024 season.

Last season, BDHS was able to purchase 50 Guardian Caps through a grant from the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association last year and this year thanks to the BDCHF, Inc, they were able to purchase more.
