Description
- The Coordinator of Athletic Equipment & Football Equipment Manager assist the Director of Operations with respect to facilities, equipment, and apparel; athletics purchasing, physical education equipment purchasing, facility maintenance, uniform preparation, and inventory control and oversees the equipment operation for the Football program.

Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily operations of the athletics equipment room including: laundry; uniform setup and repair; and equipment fitting and maintenance.
Assist with the preparation and maintenance of athletic facilities and equipment in collaboration with FACS for practices, contests and classes ensuring a safe environment for activity. Ensure properly functioning seating, scoreboards, message boards, sound systems, and individual sport equipment (nets, goals, etc.).
Oversight of the equipment operation for the football program including: attendance at practices, home and away contests, and team activities as assigned by the Director of Operations in conjunction with the Head Football Coach.
Assist with inventory control of all athletic apparel and equipment by: confirming receipt of all new items, tracking issuance and return, completing a season ending inventory and a comprehensive year-end inventory; assist with hiring a student work force of 10-15 students. Daily supervision of student workers to maintain efficient operation of the equipment room.
Responsible for student payroll. -
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required in Athletic Administration, Physical Education, Sport Management or related field of study with 1-3 years of work-related experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

- Support 26 sport programs requiring general knowledge of NCAA, conference and institutional rules and policies.
- Operational knowledge of scoreboards, message boards, video and electronics.
- Expertise in protective equipment fitting, repair and maintenance.
- Ability to analyze and problem solve various electronic issues.
This position requires regular evening, holiday, or weekend work for contests and practices.
Occasional travel required. Some contests require overnight stays. Travel with football is mandated. Other sports as necessary.
