Rutgers University is a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Big Ten Conference (B1G). The Athletics Department Supports over 700 Student Athletes and over 100 administrators, coaches, and staff members.
Job Responsibilities
Working with the Director of Football Equipment, Assistant Director of Football Equipment, and the Assistant Equipment Manager in ordering, receiving, distributing, retention, inventorying, laundering, repairs, and other responsibilities as assigned. Sport responsibility would include Football and the staff supporting the Football Student Athletes.
Desired Qualifications
The ideal candidate should be familiar with Nike, Nike Gameday, CoachComm, and the Helmet Tracker Inventory System. Knowledge and understanding of NCAA and B1G policies, procedures, and rules. Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and travel if necessary. Must be willing to work with student athletes, coaching and support staff members, and student managers. This individual must be self-motivated, work well with others, and communicate effectively while having a positive attitude.
Working Conditions
Must be able to work in all weather conditions, office setting, repetitive use of a workstation with a computer, and lifting and moving heavy items exceeding 50 pounds.
Requirements
Must be admitted into a degree seeking a graduate level degree and enrolled for the Spring 2025 Semester. Candidate must have previous work experience in a college/professional level equipment room and want to pursue employment as an Equipment Manager.
Anticipated start date of January 2025.
