UTSA is looking for a graduate assistant for 2026. This position will primarily help support the football equipment room but will have plenty of opportunities to assist with Olympic sports as well. Expected start date is Late May/Early June. Typically, this role would last 2 academic years (Fall 2026 – Spring 2028) to coincide with completion of a graduate degree program.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be accepted into a graduate program at UTSA
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Prior experience in a collegiate equipment room is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Must be able to work an unconventional schedule, including long hours, early mornings, nights, weekends, and some holidays
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support football team in all aspects of training, practice, and competition, including travel to road games
- Work closely with Assistant AD of Equipment Operations on projects and day-to-day activities
- Leadership of student manager staff and student interns
- Receive, inventory, issue, maintain, and clean all equipment and apparel
- Assist with updating our inventory management software
