Position Overview:
One Graduate Assistant Position in the Olympic Sports Equipment Room. Applicants are required to be in a Master’s Program of their choosing for 2 years while in this position. Graduation marks the end of the candidate’s time in the position. Assist Equipment Staff and their designated teams’ staff in ordering team gear and equipment, along with maitaining those items
Job Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Partnering with NIKE to acquire gear for various varsity teams and their staffs
Work with third party companies to have NIKE gear embellished
Order other sport equipment or gear as necssary for teams to compete
Maintain equipment thoughout the seasons or as necessary
Provide laundry service for sports teams and Athletic Department staff
Receive and distribute packages from FedEx, UPS, and Amazon in the Athletic Department
Overseeing schedules and job duties of Student Managers
Help transport items and gear to sports facilities
Work in conjunction with other Atheltic Department staff (Directors of Operations, Assistant Coaches, Event Operations, Marketing, Communications, Etc.)
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
Previous experience working in a Professional Sport or Collegiate Equipment environment
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Strong problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills
Acceptance into a graduate program at Clemson University, Ability to maintain 3.0 GPA average
Preferred Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Sport Management, Athletic Administration, or similar degree
Olympic Sport Equipment room experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Gmail, and Google Sheets
Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in college athletics or Equipment Operations
Understanding of NIKE Gameday
Prior experience with laundry service
Anticipated Start Date: August, 2025
Compensation: Scholarship per semester offered
