William & Mary Football Equipment Assistant (Part-Time)
Reporting to the Head Equipment Manager of Athletics, the Equipment Assistant is responsible for assisting in the daily management of the football equipment room, but is focused primarily on helping with the preparation of games and practices.
This position is an hourly position. All hourly employees are subject to the limitations of the Virginia Manpower Control Program and total hours worked may not exceed on average 29 hours per week, over the course of a twelve-month period beginning May 1 each year.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- This position will work with football (fall) and baseball (spring), but will also aid in all 23 sports.
- Responsible for daily laundering and storage of all practice and game uniforms.
- Supervise and direct student workers assisting the Equipment Staff.
- Assist in maintaining an accurate, up-to-date inventory of all equipment and apparel for all sports, working out of Kaplan Arena and the Jimmye Laycock Football Center.
- Pack and unpack for away games, arranging for transportation of equipment.
- Clean and repair equipment as needed and assist in the upkeep of fields and facilities.
- Will be working at football practice and will assist with any equipment needs.
