Seton Hall University Equipment Room Summer Internship – South Orange, NJ

Seton Hall University is seeking a summer intern:

Facilities/Ops Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to

  • assisting with the set-up and break down of all Seton Hall Athletic facilities for athletic and non-athletic contests
  • assist with conversions of facilities/construction projects
  • maintain and operate database of all equipment
  • deliver equipment as it is requested
  • liaison to visiting teams
  • other duties as assigned

 

Equipment Room Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Train and supervise students in proper equipment fitting and laundry room procedures. Maintain updated budget records for assigned sports to ensure compliance with departmental allocated funds
  • Analyze, organize and monitor space allocations for equipment storage needs.
  • Develop procedures for issue and retrieval of equipment for pre and post season. Invoicing for lost or stolen items with the Compliance Department.
  • Determine sport needs via computerized inventory system and amounts for uniforms, practice jerseys, balls, shoes, sports specific equipment, etc.
  • Receive and approve the delivery of equipment and approve the payment of invoices.
  • Assist with the daily operations of all equipment rooms
  • Development, distribution and updating of event equipment staff policy and procedure manuals
  • Strict adherence to any NCAA, BIG EAST rules, policies, procedures, guidelines as they relate to events and event management.
